FAQs

FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)

Q: What do I need to bring with me to Hamburger Hill?

We provide freshly-laundered coveralls, under which you should wear loose-fitting, old clothing. We advise you to bring a change of clothing to wear at the end of the day. Footwear should ideally be waterproof, with plenty of tread, and offer ankle support, such as walking or hiking boots. You can purchase paintball gloves on site, or bring your own.

Q: Can I bring my own paintball equipment?

Useage of your own equipment at Hamburger Hill is always at the discretion of the Management. You are welcome to bring your own goggles, provided they meet BS standards, are specifically-designed for paintball game use, and have not in any way been modified. You are NOT allowed to bring your own gun/paintball marker. In all cases, the decision of the Management is final.

Q: Can I bring my own paintballs?

No. You can only use paintballs supplied by Hamburger Hill on the day of your event.

Q: How many paintballs will I need?

This largely depends on the individual player and their style of play. As a rough guide, the average is 150 to 300 paintballs in a half day session, and 300 to 600 paintballs per full day session. Additional paintballs can be purchased throughout the day during breaks between games. We accept all major credit/debit cards.

Q: How much will it cost?

If you are conservative with your ammo, the cost will be minimal. If you shoot every leaf that moves, your day will cost you quite a bit more! For parents peace of mind, an ammo limit can be set for our younger guests!

Q: Does it hurt when you get shot?

It hurts enough not to want to get shot, but not enough to stop our customers returning again and again!

Q: Is paintball suitable for children?

We have an increasing number of junior players taking part. Hamburger Hill allows children aged 10 and above to play paintball, however, it is up to the parents to decide if their child is hardy and mature enough to participate in paintball. Our safety record is such that paintball is much more acceptable to both parents and youth organisations alike.

For all other activities (Pulse Ranger, Junior Quad Biking), the minimum age is 6 years old. Parental consent forms are required for all under 16s. Please contact us on 0117 327 0108 if you have any further questions regarding this matter.

Q: Do I need to be experienced to play at Hamburger Hill?

No. The majority of our customers have never played the game before, so you'll soon find you're not alone in getting to grips with the game. Our experienced marshalls are always on hand to advise and point players in the right direction.

Q: Is the day affected by the weather?

No. Weather conditions do not affect us in the slightest. Some guest prefer paintballing in the wet and mud, others prefer it sunny and dry. Whatever the weather, you'll hardly notice with the excitement and adrenaline.

Q: Is paintballing dangerous?

Not really. A representative medical board in America concluded that you are more likely to get injured playing a round of golf than during a day of paintballing. Provided you follow the basic safety rules that our staff strictly enforce during your visit, the worst you can expect is aching muscles and the odd bump or bruise.

Q: How many games will I play?

During a full day you will play 12 to 16 games, and on a half day between 6 and 8 games. Games last an average of 10 minutes, so if you get shot early in a game, you'll soon be back to the game zone for more action.

Q: Is food and drink available at Hamburger Hill?

We have a selection of Hot & Cold Drinks and snacks available for purchase on-site. In addition, everyone is more than welcome to bring along food, drinks etc for the day.

Q: Is alcohol allowed at Hamburger Hill?

No. Alcohol is not permitted at the venue. Participants must not be under the influence of any drink or drugs at any time during attendance.

Q: When are you open?

Hamburger Hill is open for business 365 days per year, subject to availability. Pre-booking is essential.
