Paintball FAQ's

How much will it cost ?

That depends on how trigger happy you are ! if you are conservative with your ammo the cost will be minimal, if you shoot every leaf that moves your day will cost you a lot more ! For Parents peace of mind, an ammo limit can be set for our younger guests !

Is there an average cost ?

In our experience, as a rough guide only, most customers use 150 to 300 paintballs in a half day session, or 200 to 450 in a full days play. A small percentage use less and the occasional “Rambo” uses more !

What about young players ?

We have an increasing number of junior players taking part. Our safety record is such that paintball is now much more acceptable to both parents and youth organisations alike. Our minimum age requirement is 12 years of age.

Is it dangerous ?

A representative medical board in America compared the injury statistics of a number of sports. They concluded that you were more likely to become a casualty from a round of golf than from a day paintballing ! Provided you follow the basic safety rules that our staff strictly enforce during your visit, the worse you can expect is aching muscles and the odd bump or bruise.

Does it hurt ?

It hurts enough not to want to get shot ! But not enough to stop our customers returning again and again !

How many games will I play ?

During a full day you will play 12 to 16 games and on a half day between 6 and 8 games. So if you’re “shot” its not the end of your day – within a few minutes you’ll be back in the next game.

What do I need to bring ?

Strong boots or shoes are a must. Preferably with ankle support and plenty of tread. Bearing in mind the English weather ! And the fact you’ll be running around a woodland, the most likely cause of any injury is unsuitable footwear. Gloves and a hat are an option. Camo coveralls are provided but wear loose fitting, old clothing underneath.

Is the day affected by the weather ?

Weather conditions do not affect us in the slightest. Some guests prefer paintballing in the wet and mud, others like it sunny and dry. Whatever the weather you’ll hardly notice with the excitement and adrenaline !

Do I need to be experienced to play at Hamburger Hill ?

No. The majority of our customers have never played the game before – so you’ll soon find you’re not alone in getting to grips with the game. Our experienced marshals are always on hand to advise and point players in the right direction.
